Manama: Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, participated in the 6th meeting of the GCC Social Development Ministers Committee which was held remotely today under the presidency of the UAE Minister of Social Development Hessa bint Isa Buhamid, the Chairperson of the current session.
The meeting cast light on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on family stability and the situation of low-income groups in the Gulf communities. It also spotlighted all efforts undertaken by the GCC countries to curtail the impact of the pandemic on the GCC nationals. It also shed light on the voluntary efforts of the civil society organisations to support the governments, the precautionary measures to protect families and the society, especially people with special needs, the elderly and low-income families.
