BAGHDAD Lebanon has stressed its interest in strengthening its relations with Iraq and broadening the horizons of joint cooperation.
A statement by the Foreign Ministry said that the head of the Arab Department, Ismail Shafiq Mohsen, met with Lebanese Ambassador in Baghdad Ali Al-Habbab in the Ministry building. The two sides discussed relations between the two countries, means of enhancing them and cooperation in all fields.
The two sides also discussed the meetings of the joint Iraqi-Lebanese committee and the exchange of visits among officials in both countries. "
The head of the Arab Department stressed during the meeting, the keenness of the Iraqi government and people to establish the best relations with the Lebanese brothers in various fields.
For his part, the Lebanese Ambassador stressed Lebanon's interest in strengthening its relations with Iraq, expanding the horizons of joint cooperation and intensifying efforts to follow up the files to complete them to the benefit of the two brotherly countries.
