Maliki Receives EU’s Ambassador To Iraq

BAGHDAD, Vice President Nuri al-Maliki called on EU countries "to activate all agreements concluded between the two sides and to support the entry of European companies to contribute in the process of reconstruction and construction.

A statement from his media office said that "Maliki received in his official office today the Ambassador of the European Union Mission to Iraq, Ramon Blecua, and during the meeting, they discussed a number of political and security issues on the Iraqi and international arena."

Maliki stressed the need for Iraq to have a greater role with the EU countries and activate all the agreements concluded between the two sides and support the entry of European companies to contribute in the process of reconstruction and construction, especially as national forces continue their dialogues and discuss with to form the largest bloc and move towards the political majority project, which includes various components of Iraqi society

For his part, Ambassador of the European Union mission expressed the continued support of the mission to Iraq in the next phase in various directions to achieve peace, reconciliation and stability in the country. "
