Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Nohad Mashnouq, on Tuesday met with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Pernille Dahler Kardel, who voiced concerns over the US decision to end findings for UNRWA.
Kardel asked Mashnouq about this decision's reverberations on the security and social conditions inside the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, and about the possible alternatives.
The pair also discussed the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, and the indictment expected to be issued in the coming weeks, in addition to its likely impact on the political process in Lebanon and the government formation.
Moreover, the meeting featured high on the government formation dossier, and its effects on the security and financial situation in Lebanon.
