Baghdad, President Fuad Masum stressed the importance of concerted efforts to form a government that meets the aspirations of the people.
A presidential statement said that "Masum met today with the delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which are visiting Baghdad currently in the framework of the efforts of political forces to form the largest parliamentary bloc."
"The necessity of concerted efforts of all in order to reach understandings that contribute to unify the ranks, in preparation for the formation of a government that meets the aspirations of the people with all its components."
The two delegations are scheduled to start on Sunday their consultations with the Iraqi political forces in a unified program related to the basic demands of the citizens of the Kurdistan region.
The delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) was headed by Fadhil Mirani, Secretary of the political bureau of the party.
