Ministers explore treatment options for Algerian patients in Jordan

Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply and Minister of Labour Yousef Shamali discussed with Algerian Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security Faisal bin Taleb arrangements for treating Algerian patients in the Kingdom.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 49th session of the Arab Labor Conference in Cairo, tackled a number of other issues related to work, employment, and social security, and cooperation mechanisms in these areas, pursuant to the outcomes of a 2022 visit by His Majesty King Abdullah II to Algeria.

It is noteworthy that Shamali headed a ministerial delegation to Algeria last February, in implementation of the outcomes of His Majesty King Abdullah’s visit to the northern African Arab country, and his talks with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and senior officials.

During the delegation’s visit, six Jordanian hospitals were identified to receive Algerian patients, and a direct flight between the two countries was operated, as well as agreements were agreed to foster both nations’ relations in a range of many domains.

Additionally, the two sides signed a road map for the years 2023-2025 to bolster Jordanian- Algerian economic ties.
