Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak received Head of Country Program in Bahrain Fernanda Lonardoni.
The minister hailed the cooperation between Bahrain and UN-Habitat Program, which had a great impact on developing cities and caring for modernization.
He discussed cooperation between the ministry and the UN’s Program, affirming that the Kingdom is keen on sustainable development as it is a cornerstone pf the comprehensive development in Bahrain.
Lonardoni praised the progress that Bahrain witnessed in the urban development, affirming the UN Program’s keenness to further cooperate with the ministry in various fields to achieve sustainable development and human leisure.
She presented the World Urban Forum (WUF) that will be held in Poland next month, in which the minister will be representing Bahrain.
The meeting discussed a number of cooperation projects, and ways to enhance efforts to develop towns and villages in Bahrain.
