National Qualifications Assessment Committee today held a meeting remotely, via videoconference.
Chaired by Director General for Schools Affairs Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Juma, the virtual session was attended by committee members who represent competent authorities and the Higher Education Council (HEC) General Secretariat.
Dr. Juma informed the members about the decision of the Supreme Council for Education and Training, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa to approve the report on regulating online learning and setting up a mechanism for accrediting national and foreign qualifications.
The panel also accredited 26 academic qualifications (BA Masters and PhD degrees) in sciences, humanities, medicine and business management.
