NIHR, Estonian delegation discuss cooperation in human rights, trafficking in persons

Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, has discussed ways to enhance cooperation, expertise exchange and capacity building in the human rights fields between the NIHR and a number of Estonian human rights institutions.

This came as he received today a delegation comprising representatives of civil society organisations and government entities in Estonia.

Al-Derazi underlined the NIHR’s keenness on enhancing its openness to all local, regional and international institutions and entities, as well constructive cooperation with them on everything aimed at consolidating and protecting human rights.

The two sides reviewed mechanisms to take advantage of each other’s expertise in the field of human rights, in general, and combating trafficking in persons, in particular, through bilateral cooperation and coordination, in a way that would achieve the common interests of the two friendly countries.
