National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi met with the Human Rights Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva and Plenipotentiary Minister Hassan Musa Shafi’i.
The meeting discussed coordination between the institute and the Foreign Ministry in the field of human rights.
The two parties stressed the importance of collaboration during the fourth National Institution session of Bahrain’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR).
Bahrain’s UPR will be held at the Human Rights Council in Geneva on November.
Al Derazi stressed the importance of the institution’s participation and its aims to promote and protect human rights.
