The National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and the affiliated companies hosted a ceremony marking the kingdom’s celebrations of its National Days in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne.
The event was attended by Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa, Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi and Capital Municipality Chairman Salah Tarrada and other senior NOGA officials.
The Minister of Oil extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the people of Bahrain.
He hailed the royal directives which bolstered the contribution of the oil and gas sector to the national economy and allowed Bahrain’s strides in oil exploration and production.
He hailed Bahrain’s landmark achievements in all fields, including the oil and gas sector, which witnessed major projects, citing the the $6 billion Bapco refinery expansion, the LG port and the third BANAGAS plant, in addition to the modernization of the oil pipeline linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and the discovery of the massive oil deposits off the coast of Bahrain in 2018.
He thanked the Government, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its support which enabled the oild and gas sector to withstand the fallout of COVID-19 pandemic and mitigate its impact on oil projects and firms.
The ceremony featured several events, in addition to a visual presentation showcasing the most important achievements of the oil sector is the prosperous era of HM the King.
