OIC Calls on Brazil to Review Its Position on Transferring Its Embassy to Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds)

Jeddah, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the announcement by the Brazilian President-elect that he intends to transfer his country's embassy to the occupied city of Jerusalem (Al-Quds), calling on Brazil to reconsider this illegal position, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and all relevant United Nations resolutions.

Secretary-General of the OIC Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, stressed Brazil's respect for its legal and political commitments, under international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy, calling for adopting positions that support the chances of achieving peace based on the vision of a two-state solution.
