(BNA): President Arif Alvi of Pakistan, received Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoumi and his accompanying delegation.
The president stressed that Bahrain has made remarkable achievements in all fields under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, praising the great development witnessed by Pakistan-Bahrain relations and the unlimited support provided by Arab Parliament.
He explained that the Arab Parliament plays a major role in developing Arab relations with Pakistan, adding that the voice of Arab parliamentarians is very important in correcting the false image of Islam and defending Arab and Islamic issues.
The speaker affirmed that Arab relations with Pakistan are based on a long history of joint work, mutual trust, common interests, and cultural and religious ties, praising the keenness of HM the King to develop the historical relations between the two countries and the parliament’s efforts to enhance regional security and stability in Asia and the Arab region.
