Public Security Chief attends INTERPOL virtual meeting

Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan has participated in a meeting organized by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) via video-conferencing.

 

He expressed thanks and appreciation to the INTERPOL Secretary-General of  Jürgen Stock for his dedication to hold meetings to unify efforts to face security threats and exchange expertise between the participants.

 

He stressed the importance of the meeting to review plans and efforts for fighting emerging and new crimes during the crisis. He highlighted the need to utilise technology in confronting unexpected crises.

 

The meeting dealt with many topics on the agenda, with the aim of raising the level of cooperation among the member states of the INTERPOL, as well as exchanging best practices and lessons learned in police fields.

 

The meeting was attended by Director-General of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, Brigadier Bassam Mohammed Al Miraj, Director of International Affairs and INTERPOL, Col. Ali Al Jowder and Head of a Division at the Directorate of International Affairs and INTERPOL, Major Mohammed Al Absi.
