Head of the Higher Islamic Shia Council, Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan, on Tuesday met with Pakistan Ambassador to Lebanon, Najeeb Durrani.
The pair reportedly discussed the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Pakistan, in addition to the latest developments on the local and regional scenes.
During the meeting, Qabalan highlighted the necessity of inter-Muslim solidarity.
He also called the government of Pakistan to assume a leading role in bringing the Islamic states closer, and to gather them in an urgent meeting that would be aimed to end conflicts.
