Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, addressed officials and politicians on Sunday, asking them not to disappoint the Lebanese people again and not to force them to return to the roads and squares.
"The people demand a mini-neutral government of Lebanese figures known for their moral values, great achievements and freedom from the sectarian spirit and political affiliation,' Rahi added during Sunday Mass service in Bkirki.
"Reject any alignment that undermines your unity, and act with wisdom and discernment towards all those who lure you back into sectarian divisions," he told the Lebanese youth.
"The dignity of Lebanon, its independence and sovereignty, are above all else," the Patriarch concluded.
