Representatives Council’s Bureau praises HM the King’s support for legislative branch

The Representatives Council’s Bureau held its 16th meeting in the third session of the Fifth Legislative Term, virtually, under the chairmanship of Speaker, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal.

Members of the Council’s Bureau extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Bahraini people on the holy month of Ramadan, wishing Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns of the occasion.

They expressed deep pride in HM the King’s keenness and directives to develop all state departments and entities, as well as interest in the affairs of all the segments of the Bahraini people.

The Bureau paid tribute to HM King Hamad for receiving the chairpersons and members of the Shura and Representatives councils, praise of their dedicated patriotic efforts and lauding of the pivotal role played by the Legislative Branch in serving the national development march, enhancing the democratic process, defending the nation’s top interests and giving priority to the citizens’ aspirations.

The panel also lauded the keenness of all the citizens and residents to adhere to the national responsibility and community partnership through their commitment to the precautionary measures and taking the vaccines against the novel coronavirus pandemic, urging them to continue their compliance with the pre-emptive measures to ensure everyone’s health and safety, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Representatives Council’s Bureau discussed the correspondence addressed to it by the Parliament Affairs Minister on parliamentary proposals and the ministerial responses to parliamentary questions.

It also reviewed the reports of parliamentary committees, and approved the agenda of the Representatives Council’s regular meeting, to be held remotely on April 20.
