Saudi Ambassador hails Bahrain’s diplomatic achievements

Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz hailed the Kingdom’s diplomatic achievements and efforts to further strengthen relations with brotherly and friendly countries.

He stressed the pivotal role of diplomacy as a cornerstone of Bahrain’s development and progress, withing His Majesty the King’s political vision, based on wisdom, moderation and respect of rights.

In a statement marking Bahrain Diplomatic Day, he stressed the role of diplomacy in enhancing the Kingdom’s standing in the international arena and promoting cooperation to achieve national interests.

“Bahrain’s diplomacy, since the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1971, has been able to achieve a long series of successes and achievements at all levels”, he said.

He stressed Bahrain’s commitment to promoting security, peace and sustainable development in various parts of the region and the world, a principle whose foundations were laid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

“Bahrain has managed, through its wise foreign policy and effective diplomacy, to assume a prominent international position, based on the principles and main constants, the most important of which are good neighbourliness, non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and the strengthening of Gulf and Arab relations to serve the common interests of the Arab and Islamic nations, and the active role in regional and international organizations”, he said.

The Saudi envoy commended the active role played by Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, amid critical regional developments, in line with Bahrain’s keenness on supporting international peace, solidarity and security.

HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz expressed congratulations to Bahraini diplomats on this national occasion, noting their dedication and sincerity to further the Kingdom’s progress and prosperity.
