SEA president attends Abu Dhabi Sustainable Week

Abu Dhabi, Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) President Dr. Abdulhussein bin Ali Mirza met senior officials from the GCC, Arab states and friendly countries on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

He held a meeting with UAE Minister for Climate Change and the Environment Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Alzeyoudi, at the Abu Dhabi International Centre, and discussed joint cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Mirza highlighted recent developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency as key pillars of the national economy.

He cited particularly the issuance of a green building guide, renewable energy certification policies and a public tender for the installation of solar energy systems distributed on the rooftopss of government buildings.

He was updated about a model that simulates the Hyperloop which will connect Abu Dhabi and Dubai and thus reduce the travel distance to 12 minutes instead of the time currently taken by car, which is estimated at an hour and a half.
