Secretary General of GCC Condemns Ballistic Missiles Launching by Houthi Militia to Target Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani condemned today the launching of three ballistic missiles, by Iranian backed Houthi militias, targeting the cities of Riyadh, Jazan and Najran in Saudi Arabia yesterday.

He considered this act as a threat to the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and regional and international efforts to stop the bloodshed and bring peace in Yemen efforts.

Al-Zayani praised the efficiency and readiness of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces, which intercepted and destroyed the missiles before they reach their objectives, calling on the international community to condemn these hostile acts that are contrary to international laws and conventions, calling on the Security Council to implement its resolutions on Yemen, including resolution No. 2216.
