The Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa Global Award for Youth Creativity has officially been launched in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a statement on this occasion, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that Bahrain has become a global youth incubator through its inspiring initiatives that tap into their abilities and creativity.
He stressed the importance of the Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Global Award for Youth Creativity as a prime platform for participants to vie and showcase their innovative skills and gifts.
He said that the award covers various fields, namely scientific creativity, film production, photography, graphic design, drawing, composition and architectural design.
“These fields were chosen in accordance with the interests and orientations of young people. In addition, the proposed fields make young people think more (outside the box), which paves the way for them to present distinguished projects that address the various issues the world is going through”, he said.
He expressed thanks to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs for the efforts it had exerted to launch the award and set its jury terms in line with international standards.
He stressed keenness on making changes to the award every year to keep pace with the current global trends and developments. He said that the sixth edition of the award will encourage youth to think positively in their projects and showcase their success stories in combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19, in addition to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
