The UAE Embassy in Lebanon celebrated the "Flag Day" in response to the invitation of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to mark this day.
UAE Flag Day coincides with the anniversary of the accession of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to power.
The UAE Ambassador Dr. Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, raised the UAE flag at the Embassy building at 11a.m. Beirut time, in line with the celebrations held across the UAE on this occasion, in the presence of members of the Diplomatic Mission and all Embassy staff.
The UAE flag is deemed as one of the most important symbols of the Emirate state embodying its national unity.
Ambassador Al Shamsi said UAE Flag Day is a united event reflecting loyalty and belonging to the nation and its wise leadership, saying "The flag of the UAE represents a message of tolerance and love for humanity as a whole."
Al-Shamsi extended sincere felicitations to the wise UAE leadership and people, with uppermost congratulations to the Emirates courageous soldiers for their sacrifices to keep UAE flag up high.
"Flag Day is a holy day in the history of our country, which has become a successful Arab and world role model to follow suit in all countries of the world," the UAE ambassador said.
"We hold on to the vision of our wise leadership so that our nation would entirely fulfill the march of progress and development," Al-Shamsi corroborated.
