The sixth session of the “Ambassadors Majlis” was held virtually today, organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.
Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain, Yasser Mohamed Ahmed Shaaban took part in the session, along with Bahraini Ambassdor to Cairo and and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Hisham bin Muhammad Al-Jowder.
The session was moderated by the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and in the presence of heads of sectors and directors of departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its employees.
The Egyptian Ambassador highlighted the most pivotal skills that a diplomat should possess, such as communication, language, comprehension of information, drafting, and analysis, referring to the most significant diplomatic tasks carried out by the embassy, which include strengthening bilateral relations, as well as catering for citizens and providing consular services.
He shed light on his diplomatic experience in a number of countries, noting the importance of building relationships, merging into the local community, and seeking continuous learning from challenges that are faced, also referring to the crisis of filling and operating the Renaissance Dam.
Ambassador Hisham welcomed the Egyptian Ambassador and his participation in the Majlis, expressing his gratitude to the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies for this unique initiative.
He highlighted the constant communication and cooperation between the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Cairo and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Manama.
At the end of the session, the Egyptian Ambassador extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and to the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for organizing this special event.
