Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, today sent a cable of condolences to the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC), Saqr Ghobash, following the passing of the UAE President, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
She extended sincere condolences to the UAE government and people, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace.
She highlighted the landmark achievements of the late President that contributed to advancing his country, as well as his humanitarian initiatives that benefited the Arab and Islamic peoples, in addition to the entire humanity.
She recalled the effective and pivotal role played by the late President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed in enhancing the fraternal UAE-Bahraini relations, as well as in promoting political, development and humanitarian work across the region.
The Speaker sent a similar cable to the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
