Speaker of the Parliament stressed, during his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador, the necessity of moving quickly to resolve the crisis of water scarcity in the country

BAGHDAD, Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri said that the water crisis, which started to have a clear impact on Iraq, requires intervention and quick action by all concerned government agencies and international organizations.

A statement by the Information Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said that Al-Jubouri received on Sunday Turkish Ambassador Fatih Yildiz and discussed during the meeting the latest political and security situation in Iraq and the region, the meeting also discussed the issue of the water crisis and ways to coordinate efforts to ensure the interests of the two friendly countries.

"Iraq looks forward to maintaining communication between the two governments in order to consolidate stability and open up new horizons of cooperation at all levels," he said.
