Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received Italian Parliament Member Sergio Torromino.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance Bahraini-Italian parliamentary cooperation.
The speaker affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, paid a great importance in promoting principles of peace, coexistence, tolerance and pluralism, which is represented in launching many initiatives including The King Hamad Chair in Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence at Sapienza University of Rome.
The Italian MP expressed his appreciation to the speaker for the continuous support and interest in Bahraini-Italian relations, praising the efforts of the Kingdom in promoting such principles and the keenness to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.
