Speaker to patronise first Applied Diploma for Arab Women Parliamentarians

Under the patronage of the Speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, the Centre for Arab Parliamentary Diplomacy at the Arab Parliament, will tomorrow launch the first Applied Diploma for Women Parliamentarians in the Arab World, themed “Modern Skills for Women Parliamentarians’ Parliamentary Work.”

The opening ceremony of the diploma will feature a remote speech by the Speaker, in addition to a welcoming statement by the Arab Parliament Speaker, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi.

The Speaker will patronise the opening and conclusion ceremonies of the diploma, which will run until December.

The diploma, which is the first of its kind to be launched for Arab women lawmakers, is within the Arab Parliament’s efforts to enhance cooperation with Arab countries’ parliaments to develop parliamentary work, re-assert the role of parliamentary diplomacy in achieving the interests of Arab peoples, promote joint Arab action and its mechanisms, which will contribute to meeting the aspirations of Arab peoples in the midst of the challenges currently facing the Arab Nation.
