Syria participates in Yalta International economic conference

Yalta, The 5th Yalta International economic conference kicked off on Thursday with the participation of 89 countries, among them Syria.

Syria's delegation to the Crimea conference was headed by Economy Minister Mohammad Samer alKhalil.

President of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov pointed out to the achievements that were gained during the last 5 years, saying that this conference coincides with the 5th anniversary of Crimea restoration to Russia.

The conference lasts until April 20.

Minister alKhalil, during a session held about means of boosting cooperation among Crimea, Russia and the Arab states, referred to the Syrian economic situation and the losses it suffered due to the fierce terrorist war imposed on Syria.

He stressed the necessity of adopting economic measures to face the challenges and unilateral, coercive procedures imposed on Syria.
