The French Ambassador assured Al-Allaq that his government is continuing to provide full support in the process of rebuilding the liberated areas

Baghdad, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq met with the Ambassador of France to Iraq, Borno Aboyer, and the Director of the UNESCO Office in Iraq, Louise Huckhausen, to support Iraq in the process of construction and reconstruction and ways to expand the work of UNESCO and the French government in the liberated areas.

"The French government is continuing to provide full support to the Iraqi government in the process of rebuilding the liberated areas," French Ambassador Bourno Aboyer said during the meeting.

For her part, Director of the UNESCO Office in Iraq, Louise Huckhausen stressed "UNESCO's keenness to continue work to preserve the heritage and the protection of Iraqi relics in the liberated areas, and expand work to all areas of Iraq."

"UNESCO intends to organize a conference to be held soon in Paris to support the Iraqi government in its efforts to rebuild the cities of Mosul and the liberated areas, restore the archaeological sites, activate the humanitarian side to help displaced people, and attract the largest number of donors to support Iraq in its reconstruction and reconstruction plans.
