Turkish Foreign Minister to visit Egypt on Saturday

Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, will arrive here tomorrow on a visit to Egypt, at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry.

The visit of Türkiye’s top diplomat to Egypt is the first in the past decade.

According to a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, posted by Anadolu Agency (AA), “Cavusoglu and Shoukry will discuss all aspects of bilateral relations during the landmark ministerial-level visit, which will come after more than a decade.”

“The foreign minister will also exchange views on regional and international matters,” the statement added.

Shoukry paid a visit to Türkiye in February to show his country’s solidarity with Türkiye following the devastating earthquake.

During the visit, he held talks with his Turkish counterpart.
