Two people were arrested on charges of fraud and promoting counterfeit currency in Maysan

Al-Amara  Police forces arrested two people on charges of fraud, and forgery, and seized in their possession local and foreign counterfeit currencies in the Majar al-Kabir district in Maysan governorate.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the detachments of Al-Majar Al-Kabeer District Police Department arrested two suspects who forged documents and promoted forged currencies.”

The source added that the police found an amount of Iraqi currency, another sum of Omani currency, and forged documents used in swindling and fraud, along with other items that were seized in the possession of the accused.”
