Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received the member of the Representatives Council, MP Ammar Hussain Abbas, in the presence of a number of dignitaries and heads of civil society organisations in the Al-Maameer and Al-Eker regions in Sitra.
They reviewed the main charity and development initiatives and projects currently implemented by the Labour Ministry and local organisations to support individuals and families.
They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the civil society organisations and the Labour Ministry in implementing programmes and initiatives so as to contribute to developing society.
Humaidan stressed the Labour Ministry’s constant keenness to enable civil society organisations to play their social role and be more professional in delivering quality services to the citizens, affirming its keenness to remove all obstacles facing charity work in the kingdom.
MP Ammar Hussain Abbas and the attendees commended the efforts exerted by the Labour and Social Development Ministry to support the development programmes implemented by civil society organisations, as well as to prepare and rehabilitate national competencies and integrate them in the private sector.
