Yanbu Commercial Port achieves an increase in cargo handling

Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port achieved an increase in the handling of imported and exported cargo by 57% during the month of August 2018 by 510,311 tons, compared to 325,233 tons for the same period of 2017.

This growth comes in the context of unprecedented levels of handling as a result of the port management efforts to enhance the operational capacity after the completion of the development projects in the port, in light of the efforts of Saudi Ports Authority "MAWANI" to strengthen the services of Saudi ports and upgrade their operational and logistical capabilities to achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030.

The port looks forward to continuing to achieve new accomplishments by attracting shipping lines to keep pace with the qualitative leap taking place at various levels and to highlight its economic position in the region.

It is worth mentioning that there are several stations at Yanbu Commercial Port for the handling of general and bulk goods, oils and cement exports, in addition to the passenger station. The capacity of the port is more than 13.5 million tons which will have a great impact on receiving various types of goods.
