Youth and Sports Ministry urges adherence to precautionary measures

The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs stressed the need for sports centers, gyms, swimming pools, sports federations and national clubs to abide by the decisions announced by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19.

The National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19 announced a number of decisions, approved by by the Executive Committee and based on developments of the pandemic to close sports centers, gyms and swimming pools, and preventing the public from attending sporting events – from May 27 (midnight) until June 10 (midnight).

The ministry urged officials of sports federations, national clubs, sports centers, gyms and swimming pools to comply with the decisions and precautionary measures issued by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19.

It stressed the need to adhere to shared social responsibility and to avoid any complacency, apply all instructions and procedures issued in a manner that preserves the health and safety of everyone.
